The most common source of compressor failure is worn seals, hoses, fittings, lubrication, this is why it is crucial to find the problem and fix it, before this causes other components in the A/C system to fail. Don't let a little problem become a big problem.
Did you know LOW REFRIGERANT OR LUBRICATION is the most common reason for component failure? I hope you see the importance of maintaining your A/C this should be done yearly.
REMEMBER, SIMPLY RECHARGING THE SYSTEM DOESN’T FIX LEAKS!!!! Components fail. There is a reason why your a/c quit. So let the specialist fix it!! I can save you money in the end.
Flushing and oil change will help Prevent System Failure (Just like changing your motor oil.)
The fastest way to defrost a car windshield is to turn on your air conditioner. Then turn the vent system to "defrost" blowing air across your winsdhield. The air conditioner will remove the water from the air so that there is no moisture which can condense on the cold windshield.
If it gets too cool, turn on the heater too. Now you have warm dry air inside your car. And no fog on your glass. (Notice the pool of water that forms after you park your car? That is the water your air conditioner removes from inside the car.)
Remember if your vehicle has R-12 and is still cooling it will be better to repair the leaks and recharge with R-12. Since it was designed for R-12 this will give you maximum cooling. When converting to 134A this can decrease cooling and increase discharge pressure which will work the compressor harder thus causing component failure in some vehicles.
